Glow

More experiments with some new vectorizer features.

The Watcher

Working on some new vectorizer fill features.

Symmetry Monster

Procedural art image generated via directed evolution of MSG processors.

Child Like 2

Another path start regionization experiment in the paint synthesizer. Using the new dynamic brush option. The whole painting was generated from a single action paint preset.

Thursday, March 27, 2014

Frame Grab

Frame grab from an animation. Adding some new features to Displacement ip op to allow for a wider range of effects.

Destruction is Eminent

New fill option in vectorizer.

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

Geodesic Warp

Adding some new options to the Geodesic Warp ip op effect in Studio Artist.

Monday, March 24, 2014

Child Like

Child-like intelligent auto-painting. Using  single paint synthesizer preset.

Sunday, March 23, 2014

Ray of Light

MSG procedural abstraction generated while testing some new MSG processors. You can see the recursive IO routing influence in this.

3D Extruded Fractal

Trying out some ideas inspired by Bernard's recent Studio Artist user forum posts.

Friday, March 21, 2014

Big Mess

Not all great ideas have happy endings. Still working on this particular one (ha,ha).

Symmetry Shapes

Working with a new MSG processor.

Wednesday, March 19, 2014

ElectroGlow

Pretty cool vectorizer preset a tester sent me. It's been over drawn on top of a recursive IO MSG effect i was working with prior to running the vectorizer tests. So the colored shards in the corners in the background are coming from the MSG effect.

Gradient Fill Ideas

Trying out some new vectorizer region fill features.

Monday, March 17, 2014

Pig Nose

Added Fixed Constrain option for Outline Size in vectorizer.

Sunday, March 16, 2014

Frequency Modulation

Some recursive IO routing associated with a geometric transformation in a MSG procedural preset.

Saturday, March 15, 2014

Extrusion 2

More fun with extrusion.

Friday, March 14, 2014

Extrusion

Having some fun with extrusion.

The Watcher 2

Another vectorizer image in the watcher series. Playing around with some of the new vector fill features.

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

The Watcher

Trying out some new vectorizer features. The master spy is watching you.

Quad Block 3

More elaborate quad block experiment using MSG processors.

Monday, March 10, 2014

Fold Over

Adding a lot of new features to the vectorizer recently.

Sunday, March 9, 2014

Blue Man

I added an option to arbitrarily set the eps outline size in the draw panel of the vectorizer. Which of course gives you the option to seriously over do it, like in this example. But as is usually the case with this kind of thing, it can lead to some interesting effects.

Quad Block 2

Another overlaid quad block tiling pattern experiment.

Friday, March 7, 2014

Quad Block

Adding some new quilting pattern MSG processors based on the concept of a 'quad block'. It's an extension of the nine block ideas to a 4x4 tile cell. The same circular symmetry considerations that occur in the nine block also occur in the quad block.

Thursday, March 6, 2014

Creeper

Grabbed this during a gallery show test run. Added a new vectorizer gallery show technique that let's you focus on the current main technique only.

Wednesday, March 5, 2014

Nine Block Overlay 2

Another nine block overlay experiment using msg processors. These are 1C  (single channel) processors that are then fed into a color gradient mapping processor to get the final full color output.

Tuesday, March 4, 2014

NineBlock Overlay

Overlay of 3 different nineblock tiling processors build up this MSG procedural patterning effect. I'm using a 2x2, 4x4, and 6x6 tile pattern for the 3 different processors.

MSG Patterning

Trying out some simple ideas in MSG for building up patterning. It starts with irregular grids that then get non-linearly mapped to build a more complex patterning effect.

Sunday, March 2, 2014

Ovaltron

Another patterning experiment using the vector render technique int he paint synthesizer.

Saturday, March 1, 2014

The Oily Way

Name taken from a song title off of an old Gong album. Still playing around with programing some new oil paint presets using Brush Load features.
