Vector Patterning Symmetry
Trying out some of the new vector patterning features in the vectorizer. The shading is vector based as well (as opposed to using the gradient lighting ip op).

Love like Blood 2
Another mashup of photo collage and MSG pattern generation processing. Again, i'm working with graffiti imager for the image folder brush. Then i'm overlaying a MSG derived patterning effect, based on processing the original source image. There's a tiny bit of vectorizer outline technique feature overlay as well (very subtle).

Meat Team
Join the Meat Team. Almost a palindrome... Graffiti photo collage reworked with interactive warp and vectorizer outline technique passes.

Love like Blood 1
Combination of some MSG processing applied to a photo collage image generated using the paint synthesizer. Based on a folder of graffiti images. Trying to keep the photo collage part subtle (something i'm not usually very good at). mixing MSG effects with photo collage has been a new design theme here recently.
The trick is picking the right MSG processing effects that provides some pattern overlay without wiping out the photo collage canvas. So you're processing the source image with the MSg effect, and then overlaying that on top of the photo collage canvas.
Although, you can do it in reverse, using a subtle blend with min compositing in the Paint Fill Apply control panel of the paint synthesizer to add the [photo collage imager after the MSG processing.

Tears of Grief
This started with an auto photo collage image generated using the new image folder brush source. i was working off of a ruins image database i've been building up. I then composited a MSG preset generated via inspire evolution in the Evolution Editor. I'm using a lum colorspace and a Min composite for the MSG effect. So it's all done with a single layer. but the MSG processing adds a lot of additional atmosphere. the MSG preset is processing the original source image, not the canvas. And the source image was generated via some initial processing in Studio Artist.

Symmetry Folder
Symmetry effect based off of the vectorizer and interactive warp operations. Generated during some testing of the 4.05 PASeq presets.

FanFold Abstraction
Two different mutated variants of a MSG preset applied to 2 different layers followed by a simple layer composite effect that flattened down to a final single layer. I believe this is all vector shapes generated by the MSG processors, so you could output it as an eps or svg file for resolution independent printing.

Refractions
Most of this effect is a single MSG preset processing a source image. There's a little bit of Vectorizer outline technique overlay with 30% Mix on top of the main MSG derived abstraction effect. Again, working with Inspire evolution followed by some rounds of Swap evolution to fine tune the effect using directed evolution.

Dendrites
Procedural art image generate using MSG processors. Working with inspire and swap commands in the Evolution Editor.

Geometric Wave
MSG based procedural art abstraction. Generated using swap evolution in the Studio Artist Evolution Editor.

Mark of the Beast - 9
Another symmetry based photo collage in the mark of the beast series. Inspired by real political events, ha,ha. This one again i think would make a great campaign poster backdrop.

Mark of the Beast - 8
For this one i interactively adjusted the brush size modulation while auto-painting in real time. the applied some judicious use of interactive warp. All with an image folder brush.

Mark of the Beast - 7
More photo collage imagery from the mark of the beast series. I'm using an image folder brush along with local color range nib masking and brush load colorization for this one.

Mark of the Beast - 6
More fun with the new image folder brush features. A lot of the images in this series also involve some interactive warp manipulation after using the paint synthesizer to build up the photo collage effects.

Mark of the Beast - 5
Another image folder brush photo collage from the mark of the beast series. Inspired by the crazy world we seem to be living in these days. Again, i think these would make great campaign posters.

Mark of the Beast - 4
Here's another candidate for a campaign poster (ha,ha). back to simple local image range nib masking for this image folder brush photo collage. So the paint preset is very simple. Random frame indexing, no colorization for this one. So you get a more abstract feel to the final piece.

Mark of the Beast - 3
Another image folder brush photo collage in the series. This one is using watershed path start regionization. Along with region fill as brush pen mode. Again, random frame indexing with auto-colorization using the Brush Load control panel functionality.

Mark of the Beast - 2
I think they should use this one as a campaign poster (ha,ha). More image folder brush photo collage antics. With some additional interactive warp manipulation for the symmetry. Again, very simple paint preset, no path start regionization, just local color range nib masking with random placement. I'm using random frame indexing with brush load colorization.

Mark of the Beast - 1
Image folder brush photo collage. The paint preset is simple, just normal paint nibs auto-masked using local image range nib masking in paint fill apply control panel. I got lucky with the placement of the eyes.

Squeegee Abstraction
Abstract painting generated by some manual source drag painting with a large flat squeegee brush. Trying out some paint preset ideas based on the Gerhard Richter discussions occurring recently on the studio artist user forum

Photo Collage on Diffuse Backdrop
More experiments with image folder brushes. I added some diffuse water wash in the background areas of the canvas to provide a little depth.

Combo Effect Series
Another image generated while playing around with a combo effect PASeq series i was working on. The sketch is generated from a MSG action step, then converted to bezier paths and filled in by the paint synthesizer after some vectorizer processing.

Playing with Patterns
I've been adding some pattern fill alternatives to solid color fills for vectorizer output recently.

Anonymous
Auto-generated photo collage derived from an assortment of street graffiti images taken in SOMA in San Francisco. Working off of the new image folder brush feature in Studio Artist.

Demolition Man 2
More experiments with path start regionization and image folder brush sources. I'm using image processing brush load features in the paint synthesizer to colorize random index source images.

Photo Mosaic Test
Trying out a movie brush sent in by one of our users for testing. Using path start regionization and region fill as pen brush mode to generate the photo mosaic effect in the paint synthesizer. Based off of the frames in the movie brush with RGB color mapping for the movie brush indexing.
