I've been adding some new path start regionization features to the paint synthesizer, which are very useful for photo mosaic styles everyone seems to want to do. Working with a yantra movie brush here to automatically build the adaptive sub-nested tiled photo mosaic.

Vector Frame Abstraction 3

I started adding a few new feature options to the vector framing MSG processor to create more 'yantra' specific shapes as a part of the border effects the 3C Frame CP processor can generate. Part of the more long term goal of creating artificial procedural mandala imagery via evolutionary design, something i've been discussing with Dennis Miller since i saw the amazing Hindu temple photos he took on his recent trip to India.

Photo Mosaic image generated by processing some new imagery of recent Egyptian rioting with a yantra movie brush in the Studio Artist 4 paint synthesizer. I like the disparity of the large scale vs small scale imagery. Does the use of yantra imagery turn a photo of a riot into a spiritual contemplative image? Or would some people find this particular movie brush approach highly offensive (no offense intended, it's all about working with visual patterning in my world view)?

Yantra Stack Filtering Experiments

I've been trying some stack filtering experiments based on processing movie brushes generated from Yantra imagery. Here's one experiment with some additional MSG processing for the vector framing effect. Dennis Miller took some amazing photos in India of temple mandala imagery which got me interested in this particular project in the first place.
