It's interesting to just use one image for the background texture with the new EBM photo mosaic/collage features.  You couldn't really do this before, unless you were willing to break up the image into a bunch of small sub tiles.  Super easy now.

One of the new features i added to 'Region Fill as Brush' control panel to pull this particular thing off also lets you do intelligent vector region clipping in a new way.

Image Brush Region Fill -internal rotation modulation option

 

Someone on the Studio Artist user forum asked for the ability to rotate the images in an image brush 'region fill as bruh' fill, where the images would rotate and also completely fill the complete original region shapes.  It's in the pre_V6 code base now.

Turned on the EBM source error minimizer and let it run a few passes with random brush indexing and random brush orientation modulation using a watershed path start regionizer.

Editing pre-existing image folder brush or image folder background texture Paint Action Sequence (PASeq) presets has always been a pain, especially if there were multiple action steps associated with them.  I added a Paint Action Sequence QuickEdit command today that automatically does the associated editing for you.  This makes experimentation with new image folders way easier than before.
