Quench
Added something i have wanted for awhile in Studio Artist pre_V6, which is a cycle hold option for the gallery show source.
ViewPoint
Reworking all of the gallery show preferences in development pre_V6 Studio Artist. Now that V5.5.5 is released we can open the flood gates to gallery show enhancement in the pre_V6 builds. The source options are way more flexible now.

Focus in
Running automated stress testing of Studio Artist V5.5.5 generative paint features, trying to dial in that final build while twisting the brain to try out new combinations from the billions of generative paint preference permutations.

Gallery Show Dream Sequence
Shows off a Studio Artist V5.5.5 gallery show run in all of its gory detail, captured into an open image stream using the Write on Op End write flag. The paint is generative MSG derived, the source is generative data augmented. I just let it run and recorded the results into the image stream folder as frame images, then used a Transition Context to load them all in and animate output to a movie file.
The audio backing is the last track (Scat) off of the Xenon Light Annihilation cd.

Style Modulation Experiment
I was working in gallery show with a 'loaded style' that consisted of a folder of old sci-fi movie posters from the 50's and 60's. I was also using the new Studio Artist V5.5.4 generative art strategy features that use the generative AI to auto-build gallery show preference settings for you (as opposed to having to manually dial them in yourself).

Letting the Generative Ai Edit Itself
Inaugural output of letting the generative AI in Studio Artist V5.5.4 edit itself. You could already use it to automatically create new generative paint effects and associated presets on the fly. And now you can use it to self-edit itself, automatically creating new generative art strategies.
This is obviously a work in progress. But the very first output from the system shows the promise. Because it probably would not have occurred to me to dial in the particular generative preference settings it auto-created for itself (using the 'ArtStrategy - TestDrive' Gallery Show QuickEdit). It auto-configured an image folder photo mosaic paint effect that includes intelligent path randomization based on visual attributes in the source image.
Here are a few more examples of what it spat out in the inaugural test run of 'ArtStrategy - TestDrive'.
The output is obviously too heavily weighted in certain directions, but that will be vastly improved by the end of the day.

First Generative Text Gallery Show Run
Screen grab from au automated generative paint gallery show session using a new generative text brush option. This is in Studio Artist V5.5.4.

MSG BrushLoad ReTarget is Activated
And MSG Brush Load Cache location is now re-targetable in the generative paint preference algorithms in gallery show.
And boy does it make custom designing a generative paint strategy easier (at least one that uses MSG Brush Load in it). Point it at a folder of woodcut MSG presets and you get endless woodcut paint variations.
I pointed it at the entire VV5 Collection in the MSG factory set for Studio Artist V5.5 in the inaugural image painted above using it. You really need to think this through for designing custom texture synthesis algorithms that paint, because it is a powerful tool to do just that.

Steering the AI Generative Paint Spaceship
I don't even know how one would go about trying to construct something like this working manually in a conventional paint program. I do know it would take forever, be very tedious. But it's really pretty easy to do it steering the automated AI Generative Paint spaceship that is Studio Artist V5.5.
The new generative paint preferences in V5.5.2 are pretty cool. And as always, they bring to the surface any hidden bug issues associated with some far flung corner of the parameter space of the program. Which we quickly see in automated stress test runs and squash like the bugs they are (Buddhists are cringing at that statement).
Remember, every update is generatively unique. Collect them all, because they are all visually distinct.
So what was i doing here anyway. Playing off 2 different image databases against each other, in a fight for dominance. Once was the gallery show source folder. The other was a folder of mug shot images and some other stuff i redirected the image folder background texture to use as a cache location. One of my generative paint preferences forced new image folder background texture edits for each newly AI constructed paint preset. I'm auto-generating selection masks for each gallery show cycle based generated from mutated Rank Filter IpOp effects. I've got a collection of wet presets in a favorites folder for start cycle processing working against an adaptive gradient optimizer end cycle setting (again, every time that runs it is different, constructed from scratch on the fly by the AI Generative System).

MSG Brush Load Generative Paint Strategy Demo
I set this up and knocked it out in less than an hour while doing something else completely different. My AI Generative assistant Studio Artist V5.5 did all of the work for me (i did setup the generative strategy it used). The transitions between art images were automatically generated by Studio Artist as well.
It is worth pointing out that the artwork generated in the example above is a tiny far off corner of the vast potential space of visual aesthetic looks one can achieve in Studio Artist. That far flung corner of potential visual looks kind of reminds me of 'out maxing peter max' to some extent, so a particular ghetto of the overall world of possible visual aesthetics. You could dial it in to just be wood cut prints using MSG Brush load if you so desired (you can see a few hiding in there above). Or you could head off to something completely different by setting up a very different generative strategy (with associated generative preferences).
Thanks to the WMF for the Whirling Dervish' track off of their 'Shipyard, Let's Dance' cd. I think you need to have lived on Oahu to really appreciate the joke in that cd title. Check out the album cover art if you don't get it in the link above.

City Lights from the Water
Studio Artist V5.5 did all of the work on this one (for the most part). I setup the generative strategy, then let it rip. Hit the grab button when this one flashed by in an afternoon of automated gallery show runs that generated hundreds if not thousands of gallery ready art images from my generative strategy. All using the power of AI Generative Paint in Studio Artist V5.5.

Ice Cream Man -test images
Working on some test images for a new paint animation for the WMF song 'Ice Cream Man'. All generative paint strategy stuff in Studio Artist V5.5. I setup the generative strategy, Studio Artist V5.5 then does all the work to create the output imagery.

Generative Abstraction Color Washes
A few generative abstract color wash canvases. Of course the joke is that all of the Studio Artist V5.5 output images shown here were generated from a source folder of mug shot photos. Not that you would ever know by looking at these. Once again proving the point that idiots who rag about the use of a representational source photo are missing the whole point.
