When in Doubt
Dipping into the graffiti brush archive. Trying out some new path start regionize ideas using the paint synthesizer.

God's Rottweiler
You'd have to have read Maureen Dowd's NYT op ed piece today to get the title reference. I wanted the vectorizer processing around the hand features to have the feel of 'blood on the hands', so i'm using a max saturation coloring option to pull out that feeling.
More vintage SF graffiti worked into an automatic photo collage effect. Using the new image folder brush features.

Plan 333
Don't go plan 999, go plan 333 (yes the joke is kind of subtle). Intricate photo collage abstraction, although it's been so transformed it's hard to catch the photo collage part except for the fine texture detailing. Lot's of MSG geometric processing going on to the original photo collage image. It's all created from a set of images from my extensive vintage SF graffiti series.
Is my love of symmetry a strength or weakness? I often reflect on that. I love the perceptual punch it gives, but it could be considered a crutch in some respects.

Party Like It's 1997
Working with the new image folder brush to build a automatic photo collage based on vintage 1997 San Francisco graffiti imagery. There's also some subtle MSG based patterning going on in this, which is my latest processing trick to add some textural complexity to a rendered canvas.

Love like Blood 2
Another mashup of photo collage and MSG pattern generation processing. Again, i'm working with graffiti imager for the image folder brush. Then i'm overlaying a MSG derived patterning effect, based on processing the original source image. There's a tiny bit of vectorizer outline technique feature overlay as well (very subtle).

Join the Meat Team. Almost a palindrome... Graffiti photo collage reworked with interactive warp and vectorizer outline technique passes.

Love like Blood 1
Combination of some MSG processing applied to a photo collage image generated using the paint synthesizer. Based on a folder of graffiti images. Trying to keep the photo collage part subtle (something i'm not usually very good at). mixing MSG effects with photo collage has been a new design theme here recently.
The trick is picking the right MSG processing effects that provides some pattern overlay without wiping out the photo collage canvas. So you're processing the source image with the MSg effect, and then overlaying that on top of the photo collage canvas.
Although, you can do it in reverse, using a subtle blend with min compositing in the Paint Fill Apply control panel of the paint synthesizer to add the [photo collage imager after the MSG processing.

Anonymous
Auto-generated photo collage derived from an assortment of street graffiti images taken in SOMA in San Francisco. Working off of the new image folder brush feature in Studio Artist.

Graffiti Stack Filter Experiments 2
Another experiment using Studio Artist's temporal image operation effects to process a series of graffiti images via 'stack filtering'.

Graffiti Stack Filter Experiment
Experiment with stack filtering using Studio Artist 4 and a graffiti movie brush. Stack filtering is a term used for processing a 'stack' of different images using temporal image processing effects. The 'stack' of images is encoded in a movie file.

Large Frame Index Photo Mosaic
Another Studio Artist photo mosaic experiment with a large frame index movie brush. I'm using a graffiti movie brush, and using image processing brush load to re-colorize the individual movie frames on the fly as they are positioned.

Graffiti Faces
Trying out a photo mosaic approach that looks more like collage as opposed to tiled blocks. Also using random frame indexing for the movie brush, so the individual frames are colorized using image processing brush load functionality ion the Studio Artist paint synthesizer.

Large Frame Size Movie Brushes
I've been running some experiments recently with large frame size movie brushes for use in generated photo mosaics with Studio Artist 4. By large i mean over 10,000 frames.
I was told that you could not do it with problems, but that is incorrect. It works fine, you just need to make sure you use Disk Load rather than PreLoad for the MB Load Status control in the Brush Source control panel of the paint synthesizer. If you use PreLoad you are going to run out of memory. But that's not an issue for DiskLoad, and is the whole reason why that option is there.
You want to make sure you switch to DiskLoad before loading in the large frame count movie brush.
This was supposed to be a graffiti movie brush, but a photo of my wife's relatives snuck in there somehow and is very prominent in the dark hair regions, kind of funny.

Dynamic Movie Brush Regionization
Experimenting with dynamic brush size modulation in a movie brush based path start regionization paint preset. Using a graffiti movie brush. The new dynamic sizing code for the path start regionization needed some tweaks for image or movie brushes.
