Sepia Head Transitions
Working with Gallery Show in Studio Artist using the Color Gradient Mapping Sepia effect described in one of yesterdays posts for start and end cycle processing along with random parameter mutation of random Ip Op effects as the main technique. I'm using 2 source data augmentation techniques that work with face detection in different ways.

Facial Smoothing with Color Gradient Mapping
You can use the Color Gradient Map Ip Op effect to generate a really interesting 'smooth render' effect for facial images. Kind of a smooth sepia effect in this particular case. I auto generate the color gradient from the source image and then luminance sort (not map) in this example. Using the sort rather than the map option mucks with the tone range in an interesting way.

Symmetry in Nature and Art
Symmetry is very common in biological structures in nature. Because of that, and because different areas of your visual cortex are stimulated by it in visual imagery, it is a common motif in art.
A recent scientific study that is in the news today tries to explain why it is so prevalent in nature. The study says the following
"The most likely explanation for why proteins and bodies are symmetrical is not because symmetry gives a survival advantage, but because more symmetrical, repeating forms appear in the first place.So what makes that happen? Symmetrical forms have likely evolved more frequently and then persisted over evolutionary time because they often require less information to produce than asymmetrical forms do."
Making and then breaking symmetry is also a really effective art strategy. It could be subtle, or more dramatic. All of the examples shown here were automatically created by generative ai algorithms working in Studio Artist Gallery Show.

loMo trAnsformer
One of my beta testers asked how to do this kind of thing. Repetitive patterning based on a recursive geometric transformation. I'm using a rotational warp, but you could use other approaches like angle modulation associated with the path shape generation in the paint synthesizer.
