Dual Mixture Abstraction
Working on some procedural art MSG presets that generate 2 different abstract color images in different internal image streams, and then use a third black and white abstract image to spatially modulate between the 2 different abstract color images to generate the final output image. Knowing that, if you look at the above image you can see that process taking place.

Raised Apollonian Widget
MSG preset processed with cast shadow lighting PASeq preset. I made a new lighting PASeq that puts the darker objects on top rather than the lighter ones like the previous posts. The MSG preset is using some new features associated with apollonian close-packed sampling. The sampling in the MSG preset is also source image modulated. And there's some TSP optimization in there as well.

Shadows as Structure
Adaptive Block regionization with a solid black cast shadow generated by using repeated path applications and associated modulators to generate the cast shadow. The shadows ends up looking pretty structured with this kind of rectangular repetitive structuring. It's interesting, because if you have irregular shaded regions they look raised with this kind of paint preset, but not when they are structured this way.

Fun with Mutation
Playing around in the evolution editor in Studio Artist. Added a little bit of shadow lighting via manual selection after the fact. That got me thinking about adding some cast shadow lighting to MSG as a new processor.

Raised Relief Abstraction
More experiments with multi-level lighting effects. This started out with a MSG procedural abstraction (black and white quantized random procedural texture). That was then colorized using Flat Region Colorize ip op using the source image for coloring. Then i used one of the recent multi-level lighting PASeq presets i posed to the Studio Artist user forum recently to add the shadow lighting effect.
