Vector Subdivision
Vectorizer shape technique preset processing a facial image. I like the way the abstraction of the facial features plays out in this one.

Jazz Celebration
Stack filtering experiment using a folder of various old jazz poster art images. Stack filtering is the terminology for using temporal image operation effects to process a 'stack' of different images. The temporal ip op effects assume the stack of images are sequential frames in a movie, and the temporal processing pulls out all kinds of interesting visual effects as a result of using a stack of random images for input as opposed to normal sequential video frames for the time based temporal processing effects

Raoul
Working off a the current search return gallery show technique. Using 2 different gallery paint preset directed mutation modifiers. So it's always mutating a randomly selected search return into a modified randomized dynamic brush presets for each gallery show cycle.

Lego Man
Is artistic representation a form of visual compression. Easy to say in this particular example, but i think you can extend that thought to more sophisticated work as well.

Old Friend Waiting
Hammering on endlessly running automated self mutating gallery show cycles to hunt down some 64 bit bugs. Grabbed this one as it flashed by during the testing cycles.

Puzzle Face
Screen grab of self mutating image operation testing via the associated gallery show technique. Some source palette mapping incorporated into this as well.

Turmoil and Trouble
Generative overlay process using mutated paint presets via repetitive gallery show cycles. More 64 bit testing, since you can never to do much of it.

Geo Abstraction
Looks like a MSG procedural abstraction, but it's actually a combination of a paint preset followed by some geodesic interpolation image operation effects to expand the initial paint line patterning. So still a procedural abstraction effect, but generated via paint synth and ip op effects.

Torment
Or at least it looked that way. More 64 bit build stress testing working with gallery show runs. Combination of vectorizer outline technique and the paint synthesizer.

Stylized Screening
Example of using a space filling curve to generate a stylized black and white halftone screening effect.

JigSaw
Interesting study in block and edge based segmentation. Auto-filled with palette mapped color derived off of the source image (using Flat region Colorize ip op effect).

Surprise
Who knew that you could use an image folder brush and a text brush at the same time. And i'm not talking about using the background texture for one of them. I guess it's nice to know that Studio Artist can surprise even me with new features that have been hiding awaiting to be found. This could be really useful with some of Bernard's custom font shapes, like the splatter ones. You'd use the font for shape masking a set of images for masked photo mosaics or photo collage.

Pattern Brush
Playing around with a set of pattern images Paul sent me and using them as a brush in the paint synthesizer. With image processing brush load to colorize the set of black and white patterns appropriately for local areas of the source image. More 64 bit testing.

Generative Facial Buildup Experiments
Used gallery show as a way to build a generative process that automatically draws a few paint strokes for a random face image, then moves to the next random face image, for about 100 cycles. So the painting is a generic averaging representation of all of the different facial images used during the generative cycles.
This is a variation on the same idea, but using tiling blocks based off of the current random source image. Of course this would be more interesting if i used an inverse warped source image folder, where all of the source images were warped to a standard pose. With inverse warped standard pose facial images you'd get a more coherent representation from all of the random blocks. Since i'm doing 64 bit testing, i'll probably try that soon to see if there are any issues associated with the new code.

Hangman
More fun with 64 bit MSG debugging. The MSG code code itself was not too bad, but the preset file import/export was another issue altogether. But things are moving forward. If you look closely you can see that there is recursive IO routing associated with this source processing MSG preset generated via directed evolution.

Resident Evil
Most notable for being generated with an experimental 64 bit build of Studio Artist. The development effort for this is killing me to put it mildly, but things are improving day by day. Generated while testing MSG preset file importing and the evolution editor inspire mutation. Another small step in a rather long and arduous process.

Another new year, another Bill Maher stand up show at the MACC. As envisioned by gallery show running auto randomized vectorizer presets.
