I was playing around trying to put together a Dual Paint preset in Studio Artist 4 that allows for live symmetry sketching when this effect fell out. It's a pretty amazing paint preset to draw with. It very quickly generates all kind of fractal self similarity textures. I've been trying out some abstract animation effects with this preset as well, running the preset in loop action streaming live to an open movie stream.
