He wears the armor of the StarGate.
That's what they said. The evangelicals that hailed Ronald Rump’s church photo op.
"When he held that miniature plastic replica of the StarGate aloft, upside down no less, why it was a sign from heaven, like as if a great bolt of mini-stroke induced ‘hallelujah’ told me how to interpret the event, how it had great great significance to all. How it was truly wondrous to behold. Like a burning bush or a comet from space wiping out all life on the planet. It was magnificent. "
A moment for the history books, to be sure.
Especially the hosing down and washing away of any scab protestors getting in the way of getting things done. Important things, like photo ops.
Although many of the clean up people in the SWAT suits all geared up for armageddon were actually Honduran immigrants. The suits were very heavy and super hot, especially during the brutal summer weather, and it was hard to find americans who wanted to take that on. But the immigrants were more than happy for the job. I mean, they included health insurance, and a pension after 15 years of service, who the fuck does that anymore.
You get the idea. They were happy to take the pay check.
And the government was happy to give it to them.
After all, there was important work to be done.
More photo ops awaited.
More securing the area need to be done.
As we drifted in time. Awaiting the StarGate.
