Working with soft diffuse vector paint presets that are masked when painted. Like you are painting onto stencils laid on top of the canvas. The selection masks are auto-generated by processing the source image with different image operation effects. You route the ip op effect output directly to the selection buffer as opposed to the canvas. Then you turn on masking when you do the paint action step. Repeat until finished.
